Marlin does not stopping when homing (no replies)

I have been trying for weeks now with different versions of Marlin to get the endstops to work. Unfortunately I have not been able to succeed until now and would appreciate any assistance on this matter.

Challenge: The machine tries to home however when triggering the endstops they do not stop the motors from running.

Machine Configuration: COREXY

Board used: BTT SKR Pro v1.1

Stepper motor drivers: DVR8825 (Also tried the TMC2208)

When entering the M119 command the endstops show correctly when they are triggered.
