z won't move from tft without a g0 issued from terminal (no replies)

I am installing a BTT SKR v1.4 turbo with sensorless homing (TMC2209s) and a BLTouch from ANTCLABS.

the main issue right now is that the z wont move after booting unless I go into the terminal and manually send a g0 z0 (or whatever z position...). after that it will respond to instructions from the screen. If I home it or try to level it quits moving until I send the g0 code again.
All the endpoints show open (sensorless homing on all axis including z seems to work).
I think the BLTouch would work if the Z would move.
I have tried different TMC2209s on the Z axis and moved the TMC2209 to other axis and they work.

Any help would be appreciated.
