can't recover from a pause (no replies)

I have been having this problem for a while and I need to fix it.
However, I have no idea what to fix so I am starting with Marlin. The other issues may be connected to one problem.

If I do a pause during a print, it will become totally lost, banging into stops, etc. when I click resume.

If I start another print after finishing one, it seems to get lost. It will do different things like think Z=20 is Z=0 even if I do a G0 b4 starting the print.
I must do a power off reset to the printer to get it to work for the next print.

I am using:
Repetier Host 2.22
Marlin 2.0.7.x-f74015b
W10 21H1
Arduino with Ramps 1.4

Any ideas would be appreciated.
