I'm trying to compile a Marlin 2.0.x build for my Creality Ender-5 with BLtouch upgrade. This printer uses a ATmega1284P chip, with small 130 KB of memory.
So after disabling the same features as in 1.1.9, it still doesn't fit into memory with BLtouch enabled.
After testing various additional settings, I discovered that by enabling the definition NO_WORKSPACE_OFFSETS, I could save another 2 KB of memory and now the code would fit.
I print with Octoprint and slice in Cura. In the start and end.gcode I didn't see a line with M206 or M428.
What is your opinion for that option?
Do I actually gain anything on my printer by upgrading to Marlin 2.0.x in regards to print quality and speed?
