Hello, everyone! My club has a bunch of MakerBot Replicator 2s that have started to break down. We've been trying to figure out how to convert them to open source electronics, software, and an E3D HotEnd so we can service them better.
I was hoping to use Marlin with them, but as far as I understand it Marlin doesn't work with the Mightyboards currently installed in them. That's fine, we'll get something to replace them. However, I have a question: does anyone know if the standard MakerBot LCD is compatible with Marlin. It's very similar to most RepRap electronics boards, but has a 5 button keypad instead of an encoder wheel. If its not compatible, I guess we'll have to buy new LCDs, but I wanted to check before buying them.
Any other suggestions / ideas / help would be appreciated!
Thanks very much!
